Subscribe to alerts
Alerts are delivered by email. SMS is an optional extra you can turn on, skip, or turn off later.
These alerts come from an automated uptime monitor watching self-hosted server equipment. A notification goes out when a monitored system misses its scheduled check-in, and again when it recovers. Most months there are no alerts at all.
SMS is optional. Email delivery is the standard channel and works on its own. You can subscribe without giving a mobile number and without agreeing to text messages, and you will receive the same alerts. Use Continue without SMS below to skip text messaging entirely.

Declining text messages
Choosing Continue without SMS subscribes you to email alerts only. Nothing is withheld, restricted, or degraded. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of using this service, creating a subscription, or completing anything on this site.
Stopping messages
If you did enable SMS, reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe immediately, and your email alerts continue unaffected. Reply HELP for contact information. Standard message and data rates may apply.
