Program description

An automated SMS notification service that alerts subscribers when self-hosted server equipment stops responding to scheduled health checks, and again when that equipment recovers. Messages are transactional only. This program sends no marketing, no promotional content, and no advertising.

How to join

Alerts are delivered by email. On the subscribe form, enter an email address to subscribe. Text messaging is a separate, optional add-on: to enable it, also enter a mobile number and check the SMS consent box, which is unchecked by default and separate from these Terms.

Consent to receive text messages is never required. Choosing Continue without SMS subscribes you to email alerts only, with no reduction in service. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of using this service, creating a subscription, completing any transaction, or accessing any part of this site. This web form is the only way to enable SMS.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on equipment behavior, typically fewer than 5 messages per month. Many months contain no messages at all.

Cost

The service is free. Message and data rates may apply through your mobile carrier.

How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message from this program. You will receive a single confirmation and no further text messages. Your email alerts continue unaffected. You can re-enable SMS at any time through the subscribe form.

Supported carriers

Major US carriers are supported, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, Sprint, Boost, Cricket, MetroPCS, U.S. Cellular, Virgin Mobile, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Delivery

Message delivery depends on carrier networks and is not guaranteed. This program is a convenience notification and should not be relied on as the only safeguard for any system.

Privacy

Mobile numbers collected by this program are never shared, sold, rented, or transferred to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

These terms may be updated. The current version is always posted here with the date above.
