What is collected

Lukas Westberg Homelab Alerts collects the email address you enter on the subscribe form. If you choose to enable optional text messaging, it also collects the mobile number you provide and the date and time you gave SMS consent. Subscribers who decline text messaging have no mobile number collected at all. No name, location, payment information, or device identifier is collected. There are no accounts, no advertising trackers, and no analytics scripts on this site.

How it is used

Your mobile number is used for exactly one thing: sending SMS alerts when a monitored server stops responding or comes back online. It is not used for marketing, promotion, profiling, or any other messaging program.

Sharing

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

The only party that ever handles your number is Twilio, the messaging provider that transmits the alerts. Twilio processes it solely to deliver messages on our behalf. Numbers are never sold, rented, or traded.

Message frequency and rates

Message frequency varies and depends on how often monitored equipment changes state, typically fewer than 5 messages per month and often none. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Opting out

Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving them. You will get one confirmation message and nothing after that. Reply HELP for contact information. Your mobile number is deleted from the send list once you opt out, and your email alerts continue unaffected. Text messaging is optional at all times and can be declined at signup or ended later without any loss of service.

Retention

Numbers are kept only while a subscription is active and are removed after an opt-out. Delivery logs held by Twilio follow Twilio's own retention policy.

Security

The subscriber list is stored on private, access-controlled infrastructure. This site is served over HTTPS.

Children

This service is not directed at anyone under 13, and numbers are not knowingly collected from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version is posted on this page with a new date above.
